I HAVE FINISHED MY CHAPTER EDITS.
ALSO, I HAVE MOVED TO ENGLAND.
ALSO, ALSO, MY CLASSES START ON TUESDAY.
THINGS ARE GETTING VERY REAL OVER HERE.
With all this going on, you may be wondering: how the ever-lovin’ h*ck am I going to keep my writing on track? Well…
Good question, my friend.
Lady of Daemons is being reviewed by some very gracious CPs at the moment (and I’m looking for more, so if you’re keen, shoot me an email!). My general strategy is to hoard comments like a little writer dragon and then cross-reference them so that I can basically triage my novel. I’m also starting to get serious about consolidating the plot for my next novel, The Final Days. I’m pretty h*ckin’ excited about this next project (and the chance to think about something other than Lady of Daemons. Like, I love my little baby, but I need a break).
But beyond that? I’m just focusing on starting grad school off on the right foot. I love writing, but I can fit it in around the rest of my life. The books can wait. Grad school can’t…and even if it could, I wouldn’t want it to.
I’ll be on hiatus during October, but I’ll see you all in November for NaNoWriMo!
How are you doing? No, really. How are you doing? How’s your writing going? What have you been reading? Are you embarking on any big trips or starting any big projects? How do you plan to fit your writerly life in and around the big stuff, like school and work and travel?
